- Leading or supporting the delivery of one or more of our community clubs
- Delivery of some of our SMILE days

Employment details:
- Casual contract – work offered when available and appropriate to skill set and experience.
- Hourly rate:
- Lead Coach – £17 – £20 per hour depending on experience
- Assistant Coach – £10-£12 per hour depending on experience
- Location – schools in South Durham, Darlington and surrounding areas
- Paid through PAYE
Who we are looking for:
Lead Coach:
Minimum Level 2 qualification in an individual sport or multi skills (or equivalent experience e.g. Teacher, HLTA, Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker)
Assistant Coach:
- Desirable – Level 1 qualification in an individual sport or multi skills (or equivalent experience in another sector)
- Minimum – some qualifications that provide skills and knowledge to support and deliver sessions that engage children in being active
All Coaches:
- Experience of coaching sports/multi skills to 4 to 11 year olds
- Ability to relate to and motivate children aged 4 to 11 year olds
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Self-motivated, committed, flexible
- IT literate
- High standards of personal appearance
- Enhanced DBS, Safeguarding Training, Prevent training (we can arrange this for you if needed)

Community Clubs
We deliver community clubs on school sites that are targetted at specific groups of children. The clubs take a co-creation and semi structured approach where children have a say in what activities are delivered and a choice of what activity to take part in.

Person Specification
Essential:

Working Hours:
- Full time
- Mon-Fri
- Some early evening work will be required (6.30pm latest finish)
- Hours variable and flexible. Typical days could be: 9am – 4.30pm / 11am – 6.30pm
Salary:
- Full Time Equivalent – £22369. Pro Rata Term Time Only (Actual Salary – £19185.72)

Contract:
Initially a fixed term contract from the agreed start date to 31st August 2025. The contract will be extended should the company sustain or grow its work.
What we can offer you:
Guaranteed Hours, Pay and Travel Expenses
We pride ourselves on providing salaried roles for our sports coaches. You will be guaranteed 37 hours per week regardless of direct delivery hours in schools in a given week. You will have allocated time for planning, travel time within the working day as part of your working hours and you will receive payments for the business miles you travel within the working day.
Agile working
Our office is based at Chilton Academy (DL17 0PT). We allow our team to decide how to make work, work for them, whether that is, when not delivering in a school, predominantly working from home or predominantly working in the office. We are not a fully remote company and the role will require some travel to our office for staff meetings and training.
